Continuing the Chanukah Anew family collaboration, Rabbi Naomi’s son-in-law Jason serves as producer and sound engineer, capturing a range of performances from family singing around the table to public choir events. A talented guitarist and songwriter, Jason helps shape the Chanukah Anew musical arrangements. For more than twenty years Jason has provided top quality sound for numerous professional and community venues on California’s redwood coast. Since 2019 he has managed the region’s premier recording resource,
Big Bang Recording Studio, where the Chanukah Anew musical magic is being made.

Berel began his musical career as a child singer on the Music for Little People label. He has collaborated with his mother on numerous creative projects. He was the featured tenor in Ginsberg at San Francisco’s Contemporary Jewish Museum and in Di Megileh with Berkeley’s Yiddish Theater Ensemble. For over twenty years Berel has served as a liturgical soloist at Temple Beth El in Eureka. Berel’s exceptional vocal, guitar and songwriting skills are the foundation of his performance and recording career. His original music can be heard on numerous streaming platforms and social media sites. An artist who values community, Berel worked at Camp Winnarainbow under the guidance of the legendary clown activist Wavy-Gravy, and currently serves as technical director for Jazz Camp West and Jam Camp West.

Marketing and Development Associate
Longtime family-friend Julianna is an accomplished marketing and development leader with a unique background in nonprofit branding and revenue growth. She has served Oakland-based Living Jazz both as a volunteer and administrative professional, and has successfully driven marketing and fundraising efforts for the $1.8 million nonprofit, helping shape organizational strategy. She specializes in digital design, analytics, and program development, leveraging data-driven storytelling to engage audiences across social media, digital advertising, and print campaigns. For over ten years she Juliana worked with artists at SFJAZZ, providing support for high-profile performances and events, while also carving her path as a dance performer, teacher and choreographer, performing nationwide with Paul Flores’ We Have Iré, Alayo Dance Company and Sarah Bush Dance Project. Julianna currently manages digital media marketing for a growing roster of independent artists, including Jenny Scheinman, Alexa Melo, Dillon Vado. Her passion lies in helping meaningful projects find their audiences and gain the engagement they deserve. As a heart-led leader she is dedicated to bringing the life-changing beauty of her collaborators into the world.
